CPI Preview: Inflation to fall to around 17% YoY in April

Gold price drops by Rs 700 on Friday

January 08, 2021 (MLN): The gold prices in the international market came down by a further US $23 and traded at US $1,893 per ounce while silver was valued at US $26.65 an ounce.

Gold rates also plunged in the domestic bullion market on Friday. The price of 24 karat gold fell by Rs 700 to Rs 114,600 against the price of Rs 115,300 per tola reported in the previous session.

According to the data released by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 10-gram gold also dropped by Rs 600 to Rs 98,251 against the price of Rs 98,851 reported in the previous session.

On the other hand, the price of silver tola and 10-gram silver tola declined by Rs 50 and Rs 42.87 to Rs 1,350 and Rs 1,157.40, respectively.
