Gold moves up by Rs200 per tola in domestic bullion

December 14, 2021 (MLN): The demand for gold remained steady in the domestic bullion market as the price of 24-karat gold inched up by Rs200 to close at Rs124,700 per tola, data revealed by Karachi Sarafa and Jewellers Association showed.

Similarly, the price of 10-gram of 24k gold increased by Rs171 and was traded at Rs106,910 while the 10gm 22k gold was valued at Rs98,000.

On the contrary, the price of 24-karat silver remained stagnant at Rs1,460. Likewise, the price of 10-gram silver stayed flat at Rs1,251.71.

In the international market, the demand for gold dented by $2 to $1,785 an ounce owing to an upcoming Federal Reserve meeting as investors will track the central bank’s measures on elevated inflation. Meanwhile, silver was traded at $22.16 an ounce.
