Gold edges higher by Rs1,100 to close at Rs105,500

May 7, 2021 (MLN):  Gold prices extended gains on Friday in domestic bullion market. The price of 24 karat gold surged by Rs1,100 to Rs105,500 per tola. Likewise, the price of 10-gram gold also witnessed an increase of Rs944 to settle at Rs90,450 against the previous close of Rs89,506 per gram while 10-gram 22 karat gold valued at Rs82,912.

According to the data provided by the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association, the price of 24-karat silver remained stagnant at Rs1,380 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10-gram silver was recorded at Rs1,183.12 per gram.

Meanwhile, the demand for yellow metal surge by $25 in international markets and was sold at $1,820 against the previous closing at $1,795 per ounce, while silver was valued at $27.30, the association added.
