Finance Ministry sets timeline for 2024-25 Federal Budget

February 08, 2024 (MLN): Just a day before the general elections of 2024, the Finance Ministry has laid out a comprehensive plan for the presentation of the Federal Budget for the financial year 2024-25.

The budget is anticipated to be revealed in the first week of June 2024.

A Budget Review Committee meeting is set to take place from March 22 to April 5, 2024, followed by the approval of the Budget Strategy Paper by the federal cabinet by April 22, 2024.

The Annual Planning Coordination Committee meeting is proposed for the first week of May, with the National Economic Council meeting scheduled for the second week of May.

According to the outlined plan, all budget documents are expected to be finalized by the end of May 2024, ensuring a smooth and timely presentation.
