Finance Minister urges green tax implementation for international funding

April 29, 2024 (MLN): Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Muhammad Aurangzeb on Sunday emphasized the urgent need to implement a framework for a green tax economy to secure international financing.

Expressing his views in a session of the World Economic Forum (WEF), he addressed the importance of fundamental changes in business models, and highlighted the speedy implementation of green tax.

He further added that international institutions like the World Bank (WB) are also exploring innovative financing structures.

The minister stressed the combination of domestic efforts and international financing to meet the country’s financial requirements.
