Fertilizer off-take surges by 1.4% in June

July 25, 2019 (MLN): Total fertilizer offtake during the month of June, 2019 stood at 421 thousand tonnes, demonstrating an increase of 1.4 percent as compared to the corresponding period of last year

As per the data provided by National Fertilizer Development Centre (NFDC), Nitrogen offtake increased by 1.9 percent while phosphate offtake decreased by 13.9 percent during the said period.

Moreover, Potash offtake increased by 49.9 percent.

Total nutrients offtake during first three months of Kharif 2019 (April-June) was about 1,116 thousand tonnes, which increased by 12.4 percent over the same time frame of last Kharif 2018.
