March 01, 2023 (MLN): The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has achieved its revenue target for February 2023 as it collected Rs527.2 billion, registering a growth of 17% compared to the same month last year, Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Ishaq Dar revealed through his official Twitter account on Wednesday.

This achievement brings the FBR’s total collection for the first eight months of the current fiscal year (CFY23) to Rs4,493bn, showing a year-on-year growth of 18% compared to the corresponding period last year.

Despite economic challenges, the FBR has continued to show impressive performance during the third quarter of CFY23, demonstrating its commitment towards achieving the revised upward annual budgetary revenue target of Rs7,640bn.

The FBR’s revenue collection performance in the current fiscal year has been particularly noteworthy, and the revenue growth achieved so far is a positive indicator of the economy’s overall health.
