FBR directs all concerned authorities to monitor tax collection at import stage

August 7, 2019 (MLN): Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has directed all the concerned authorities to monitor tax collection at import stage.
Since price lists have still not been incorporated in WeBoc system, sales tax is not being collected.
Consequently, FBR has constituted three teams at Karachi Port, Port Qasim and airport and Lahore dry port to monitor price at import stage.
To call, Government in the recent budget had called for labeling prices at the import stage.
