FBR beats income tax target, achieves 41% growth ahead of year end

June 22, 2023 (MLN): Inland Revenue Service FBR surpassed the income tax annual target of Rs3.02 trillion, showing 41% unprecedented growth in comparison to the last year and has collected Rs3.03tr, till June 21, 2023.

The target has been successfully achieved ten days ahead of the close of ongoing financial year.

FBR collected net revenue of Rs6.125tr during the fiscal year (July 21-June 22), which had exceeded the upward revised target of Rs6.1tr by Rs25bn.

This represented a massive growth of about 29.1% over the collection of Rs4.74tr during July 20-June, 2021.
