ECC directs Petroleum Division to supply gas to urea fertilizer till May 31

March 15, 2023 (MLN): The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) of the Cabinet on Wednesday directed Petroleum Division to supply indigenous gas to urea fertilizer plants till May 31, 2023, to meet the urea requirement in the country for Kharif 2023, said a press release issued by the Finance Division.

The ECC considered and deliberated on the summary submitted by the Ministry of Industries and Production on the Urea Fertilizer requirement for Kharif 2023.

The Ministry presented details on the demand, production, and domestic production gap of urea fertilizer in the country for the Kharif 2023 season.

Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar presided over the ECC meeting.
