Dollar appreciates by 50 paisa in early trade

October 16, 2018 (MLN): Pakistani Rupee (PKR) against dollar (USD) at interbank has depreciated by 57 paisa or 0.43% over yesterday’s closing value of PKR 133 per USD.

With an intraday high of Rs.133.70 per dollar and an intraday low of Rs.133, the dollar is being traded at PKR 133.50/70 per USD as of now.

Since the newly elected Prime Minister, Imran Khan has taken over, PKR against USD has depreciated by Rs.10 in total, while over the month it has depreciated by 8.23%.

This rise in dollar increases Pakistan’s debt burden by almost Rs.950 billion
