Balochistan Glass reports a loss of Rs269M

October 3, 2022 (MLN): Balochistan Glass Limited (BGL) announced results for FY22 wherein the company’s profit-after-tax declined by 1158%YoY loss of Rs269 million compared to Rs25mn profit in the corresponding period last year, the company’s filings on the stock exchange showed on Monday.

The company’s loss per share clocked in at Rs1.03 compared to earnings per share of Rs0.10 in FY21.

BGL’s topline increased by 7.49%YoY to Rs1.35 billion against Rs1.25bn in FY21.

In FY22, the company’s gross profit declined by 245% to Rs171mn against Rs117mn in FY22, the decline in gross profit is due to a 34% increase in COGS.

In FY22, profit before taxation declined 668% to Rs262mn against Rs46mn in FY21.
