Auto sales drop to lowest in 15 years

July 11, 2024 (MLN): Car sales in Pakistan dropped to the lowest in 15 years during the fiscal year 2023-24, according to Pakistan Automotive Manufacturers Association (PAMA) data.

The sales of cars, including LCVs, vans, and jeeps decreased by 18.2% YoY to 103,826 units in the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, the lowest since FY 2009.

That compares with the sales of 126,878 units in the previous year and the last 5-year average sales of 188,030 units.
