UAE issues urgent travel advisory amid Mideast tensions

June 16, 2025 (MLN): The United Arab Emirates has issued an urgent travel advisory in response to escalating tensions across the Middle East, warning of continued disruptions to air travel in the region.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) released the advisory, urging Emirati nationals, residents, and visitors to check directly with airlines for the latest flight schedules.

The guidance comes amid a volatile security environment impacting routes to and from several countries.

The advisory specifically addresses UAE nationals currently in or traveling to Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Israel. Travelers are advised to stay alert and closely monitor changes in flight statuses.

MoFA also called on UAE citizens in affected countries to register with the ‘Twajudi’ service a consular tool designed to support Emiratis abroad during emergencies,as GULF news reported.

“In light of ongoing regional developments and the impact on flights, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) calls on UAE nationals, residents, and visitors to contact airlines directly for the latest updates on flight schedules,” the statement said.

“The Ministry also urges UAE nationals currently staying in Jordan, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Iran, and Israel to register on the 'Twajudi' service,” the advisory added.
