PSX Closing Bell: Momentum Loses Steam

November 24, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Monday's trading session at 161,984.08, showing a decrease of 118.84 points or 0.07%.

The index traded in a range of 1,143.86 points showing an intraday high of 162,385.32 (+282.40) and a low of 161,241.46 (-861.46) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 154.38 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 38 closed up, 59 closed down, while 3 were unchanged.

Top losers during the day were KTML (-3.17%), ISL (-2.58%), POL (-2.44%), SSGC (-2.43%), and CNERGY (-2.17%).

On the other hand, top gainers were PIOC (+5.45%), UNITY (+2.23%), CPHL (+1.97%), THALL (+1.90%), and MLCF (+1.84%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that dragged the index lower were MARI (-87.27pts), OGDC (-71.42pts), MEBL (-68.07pts), POL (-66.88pts), and PPL (-53.12pts).

Meanwhile, companies that added points to the index were FFC (+238.19pts), ENGROH (+112.55pts), PIOC (+61.97pts), BAHL (+45.84pts), and HBL (+39.97pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-278.69pts), Commercial Banks (-52.22pts), Technology & Communication (-39.76pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-37.64pts), and Textile Composite (-26.99pts).

While the index was supported by Fertilizer (+282.76pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+101.56pts), Automobile Parts & Accessories (+13.90pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+12.15pts), and Cement (+8.75pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,887.45 with a net loss of 37.33 points or 0.07%.

Total market volume was 490.35 million shares compared to 768.05m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs23.67 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.98bn.

There were 272,741 trades reported in 476 companies with 190 closing up, 247 closing down, and 39 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 36,357 points or 28.94% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 46,857 points or 40.70% so far this calendar year.
