August 12, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 147,005.32, showing an increase of 75.48 points or 0.05%.
The index traded in a range of 1,082.36 points showing an intraday high of 147,976.98 (+1,047.14) and a low of 146,894.62 (-35.22) points.
The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 331.79 million shares.
Of the 100 index companies 48 closed up, 50 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.
Top gainers during the day were YOUW (+19.65%), PGLC (+10.01%), NATF (+8.49%), INIL (+6.84%), and THALL (+6.39%).
On the other hand, top losers were UNITY (-4.15%), BNWM (-2.70%), MARI (-2.51%), PTC (-2.32%), and PSX (-2.13%).
In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were BAFL (+112.25pts), HBL (+106.59pts), SYS (+76.23pts), MEBL (+63.28pts), and NATF (+59.14pts).
Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were FFC (-143.36pts), MARI (-134.65pts), OGDC (-120.23pts), PSO (-66.05pts), and BAHL (-62.70pts).
Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Commercial Banks (+255.21pts), Cement (+152.06pts), Technology & Communication (+73.56pts), Food & Personal Care Products (+49.79pts), and Automobile Parts & Accessories (+43.52pts).
While the index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (-281.72pts), Fertilizer (-179.46pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (-83.05pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-29.69pts), and Textile Composite (-25.24pts).
In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 90,770.06 with a net loss of 22.92 points or 0.03%.
Total market volume was 691.66 million shares compared to 611.21m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs44.58 billion showing an increase of Rs0.57bn.
There were 371,116 trades reported in 482 companies with 208 closing up, 242 closing down, and 32 remaining unchanged.
