PSX Closing Bell: Bulls Hold the Line

November 19, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Wednesday's trading session at 162,226.27, showing an increase of 1,291.14 points or 0.80%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 162,741.73 (+1,806.60) and a low of 161,279.02 (+343.89) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 361.89 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 52 closed up, 46 closed down, while 2 were unchanged.

Top gainers during the day were FFC (+5.63%), PTC (+4.92%), LOTCHEM (+4.80%), PPL (+3.95%), and MLCF (+3.28%).

On the other hand, top losers were TPLRF1 (-9.77%), PSEL (-4.58%), BNWM (-2.89%), PIOC (-2.80%), and SSGC (-2.12%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were FFC (+878.86pts), PPL (+173.93pts), OGDC (+128.98pts), PSO (+106.17pts), and EFERT (+94.96pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were ENGROH (-71.53pts), PSEL (-71.46pts), TPLRF1 (-50.78pts), SYS (-45.34pts), and LUCK (-32.33pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Fertilizer (+974.03pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+359.84pts), Oil & Gas Marketing Companies (+94.27pts), Power Generation & Distribution (+42.39pts), and Leather & Tanneries (+28.78pts).

While the index was let down by Miscellaneous (-74.36pts), Cement (-59.52pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (-52.65pts), Real Estate Investment Trust (-47.56pts), and Technology & Communication (-22.47pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 50,963.53 with a net gain of 396.45 points or 0.78%.

Total market volume was 1,029.78 million shares compared to 1,545.93m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs45.18 billion showing an increase of Rs6.32bn.

There were 388,330 trades reported in 483 companies with 193 closing up, 244 closing down, and 46 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 36,599 points or 29.13% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 47,099 points or 40.91% so far this calendar year.
