September 02, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Tuesday's trading session at 150,975.48, showing an increase of 1,004.36 points or 0.67%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 151,075.67 (+1,104.55) and a low of 150,081.40 (+110.28) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 442.00 million shares.

 

Of the 100 index companies 49 closed up, 51 closed down.

Top gainers during the day were JVDC (+10.00%), GHGL (+7.60%), ENGROH (+6.98%), TGL (+6.83%), and BOP (+6.03%).

On the other hand, top losers were PKGP (-6.13%), EPCL (-4.06%), KEL (-2.95%), SAZEW (-2.54%), and NATF (-2.42%).

 

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were ENGROH (+484.12pts), FFC (+164.10pts), EFERT (+106.99pts), BAHL (+98.72pts), and BAFL (+84.32pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were LUCK (-71.45pts), FCCL (-40.45pts), PKGP (-35.72pts), SAZEW (-29.32pts), and MEBL (-25.07pts).

 

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+478.29pts), Fertilizer (+298.83pts), Commercial Banks (+264.07pts), Glass & Ceramics (+85.14pts), and Property (+43.58pts).

While the index was let down by Cement (-187.22pts), Power Generation & Distribution (-65.70pts), Chemical (-14.70pts), Food & Personal Care Products (-13.49pts), and Automobile Assembler (-12.62pts).

 

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 92,750.09 with a net gain of 297.34 points or 0.32%.

Total market volume was 1,081.08 million shares compared to 1,183.05m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs44.42 billion showing a decrease of Rs4.42bn.

There were 448,184 trades reported in 479 companies with 226 closing up, 232 closing down, and 21 remaining unchanged.

To note, the KSE-100 has gained 25,348 points or 20.18% during the fiscal year, whereas it has increased 35,849 points or 31.14% so far this calendar year.
