PKR strengthen by 4.03 paisa against USD

November 14, 2025 (MLN): The Pakistani rupee (PKR) gained by 4.03 paisa against the US dollar in Friday's interbank session to settle the trade at PKR 280.72 per USD, compared to previous closing of 280.76.

Throughout the day, the currency saw an intraday high (bid) of 281.50 and a low (ask) of 281.80.

In the open market, exchange companies quoted the dollar at 281.00 for buying and 281.80 for selling.

In comparison to major currencies, PKR weakened 36.02 paisa or 0.11% against the Euro, closing at 326.55 compared to the previous value of 326.19.

Against the British Pound, PKR appreciated by 29.16 paisa or 0.08% to 368.74 compared to 369.04 a day ago.

The local unit decreased 1.73 rupees or 0.49% against Swiss franc to close at 354.63.

Against the Japanese Yen, PKR's value depreciated 0.08 paisa or 0.04% to close the session at 1.8150 versus 1.8142 a day ago.

Pakistani Rupee appreciated 2.13 paisa or 0.05% against Chinese Yuan to close at 39.54 from 39.56.

The local currency appreciated by 0.28 paisa or 0.00% against Saudi Riyal to 74.86. While it strengthened by 0.99 paisa or 0.01% against the U.A.E Dirham to close at 76.43.

During the current fiscal year, PKR has increased against the US Dollar by 3.04 rupees or 1.08%. While it has decreased 2.17 rupees or 0.77% so far this calendar year.

In the Money Market, the benchmark 6 Month Karachi Interbank Bid and Offer rates unchanged by 0bps to 10.94% and 11.19%.
