Governor SBP forms committee for close coordination with FPCCI

August 03, 2022 (MLN): To address the business community’s concerns regarding challenges posed by both international and domestic events, Acting Governor State Bank of Pakistan Dr. Murtaza Syed on Tuesday announced the formation of a committee and appointment of an SBP liaison officer for close coordination with Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI).

In a series of tweets, the central bank stated that the Governor ensured the business community that the SBP will provide its full support and resolve their issues.

Yesterday, Acting Governor Dr. Murtaza Syed, DGs Dr. Inayat Hussain and Ms Sima Kamil and other senior officials visited FPCCI on their invitation to discuss current economic challenges and the measures being taken by the Government and SBP.

He thanked the federation for their valuable suggestions and shared confidence that country will come out of these challenging times as it did during Covid.

Dr. Inayat Hussain and Ms Sima Kamil answered specific queries raised during the meeting and ensured that they are always available to listen to the issues raised by FPCCI and resolve them as much as possible, it noted.
