June inflation falls to 3.2%

July 01, 2025 (MLN): Pakistan's inflation fell to 3.2% in June 2025, compared to 3.5% in the previous month and 12.6% in June  2024, the latest data issued by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) showed.

On a sequential basis, inflation increased by 0.2% compared to the previous month's increase of 0.5%.

Accordingly, the average yearly inflation for 12MFY25 is 4.49% compared to 23.41% in the same period last year. 

Urban CPI inflation decreased to 3.0% on year-on-year basis in June 2025 as compared to 3.5% of the previous month and 14.9% in June 2024.

On a MoM basis, it remained stable at 0.1% in June 2025 as compared to 0.1% in the previous month and 0.6% in June 2024.

Rural CPI inflation, on the other hand, increased by 3.6% YoY in June 2025, as compared to a increase of 3.4% in the previous month and 9.3% in June 2024.

MoM, it increased by 0.5% in June 2025 as compared to a decrease of 0.5% in the previous month and an increase of 0.3% in June 2024.

 SPI inflation decreased to -1.9% YoY in June 2025, compared to -0.6% a month earlier and an increase of 16.6% in June 2024. On MoM basis, no change measured in June 2025 as compared to a decrease of 1.0% a month earlier and an increase of 1.3% in June 2024.

WPI inflation increased by 0.6% YoY in June 2025, compared to a 0.4% increase the previous month and a 10.6% in June 2024.

On a MoM basis, it increased to 0.6% in June, 2025 as compared to no change in the previous month and an increase of 0.4% in June 2024.
