Gross profit declined 6% to Rs98.62bn against Rs104.55bn in 9MCY24, with the gross margin contracting to 24.2% from 27.5% in the prior year period, reflecting higher input costs relative to revenue growth.

Selling and distribution expenses increased 10% to Rs10.59bn from Rs9.66bn, while administrative expenses surged 54% to Rs16.80bn from Rs10.91bn. Other income declined 39% to Rs11.41bn from Rs18.60bn last year. Other operating expenses decreased 5% to Rs4.15bn from Rs4.37bn.

The company reported a loss from discontinued operations of Rs273.9m compared to Rs291.0m in the prior period, declining by 6%.

The company concluded 9MCY25 with a net profit of Rs86.15bn.

The exceptional profit growth was driven by significant positive adjustments and remeasurement gains on the carrying value of thermal assets totaling Rs60.28bn, compared to combined losses of Rs30.01bn in the prior year, which more than offset margin compression and higher administrative expenses, marking a substantial improvement in overall financial performance.
