ADB to provide significant relief and rehabilitation package to Pakistan

September 20, 2022 (MLN): Asian Development Bank (ADB), will soon provide Pakistan with a significant relief and rehabilitation package, to repair the infrastructure and help livelihood.

Current flood conditions in Pakistan destroyed the agriculture sector, and infrastructure, and create a food shortage. In this situation, ADB is working quickly on a relief and rehabilitation package to support the development and financial stability of the agriculture sector to boost food security and work to repair roads and irrigation infrastructure.

In the long-term, ADB is going to start a project to support post-flood reconstruction, strengthen climate, and disaster resilience, and help the poor and vulnerable from external shocks.
