Zia Chishti resigns from all roles of TRGP

November 29, 2021 (MLN): Mr. Muhammad Ziaullah Khan Chishti has resigned as the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of TRG Pakistan Limited, with immediate effect, company filing on the PSX showed on Monday.

Mr. Chishti has also resigned from his positions at The Resource Group International Limited, effective immediately. This follows Mr. Chishti’s November 18 resignation as the CEO, Chairman, and Director of Afiniti, Ltd.

The management also mentioned that the board of the company will make additional organizational announcements in the coming days. 

To recall, Chishti stepped down from his role as CEO, chairman, and board director at Afiniti Ltd., a TRG-linked company earlier this month after the news appeared on media about the accusation of sexual harassment and assault by a former employee on Zia Chishti.

Chishti spent more than a decade building Afiniti, a company he said would revolutionize the way call centers operate, a report by Bloomberg noted.

The Pakistani-American previously launched the Invisalign dental braces business, which is now worth $47 billion. He founded the company that would become Afiniti in 2006 as a call-center operator, it added.
