Weekly SCRA records Rs6.89bn purchase

November 08, 2024 (MLN): The net purchase of securities for the week ended November 01, 2024 clocked in at Rs6.89bn, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs1.67bn recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs66.58bn, which is around 141.18% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs73.47bn, which is 150.95% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net purchase of Rs6.89bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs44.19bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs38.97bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs24.37bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs17.79bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.6bn, which marks a rise of Rs597.34m over the week.
