Weekly SCRA records Rs19.5m sale

October 04, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended September 27, 2024 clocked in at Rs19.48m, as compared to a net sale worth Rs2.08 billion recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs51.66bn, which is around 267.2% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs51.64bn, which is 330.83% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs19.48m for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs39.66bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs37.59bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs17.79bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs18.82bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.95bn, which marks a decline of Rs15.71m over the week.
