Weekly SCRA records Rs11.6bn sale

November 15, 2024 (MLN): The net sale of securities for the week ended November 08, 2024 clocked in at Rs11.57bn, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs6.89 billion recorded last week, data released by the State Bank of Pakistan showed.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs25.67bn, which is around 61.45% lower than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs14.1bn, which is 80.81% lower than the prior week, resulting in a net sale of Rs11.57bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities decreased by Rs59.37bn while the net sale of securities decreased by Rs40.91bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs5.17bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs18.32bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.94bn, which marks a rise of Rs343.17m over the week.
