Weekly SCRA records net sale of Rs278.34m

September 28, 2023 (MLN): The gross sale of securities during the week was recorded at Rs9.03 billion, which is around 152.13% higher than the figures recorded last week, according to a weekly report on Specially Convertible Rupee Accounts (SCRA) released by the State Bank of Pakistan.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs8.75bn, which is 205.87% higher than the prior week.

Consequently, the net sale of securities for the week ended September 21, 2023, clocked in at Rs278.34m, as compared to a net sale worth Rs720m recorded last week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs5.89bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs5.45bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs5.07bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs4.9bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs27.57bn, which marks a rise of Rs866.49m over the week.
