Weekly SCRA records net purchase of Rs7.1bn

September 16, 2024 (MLN): The net purchase of securities for the week ended September 06, 2024 clocked in at Rs7.07bn, as compared to a net purchase worth Rs6.75bn recorded last week, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed.

During the week, the gross sale of securities was recorded at Rs16.61bn, which is around 21.8% higher than the figures recorded last week.

Similarly, the total purchase of securities stood at Rs23.68bn, which is 16.19% higher than the prior week, resulting in a net purchase of Rs7.07bn for the week.

Over the week, the overall purchase of securities increased by Rs3.3bn while the net sale of securities increased by Rs2.97bn.

Apart from this, the inflow of remittance into these accounts stood at Rs17.82bn, while its outflow has been reported at Rs11.5bn.

The closing balance of SCRA was recorded at Rs26.1bn, which marks a rise of Rs104.2m over the week.
