US PPI eases to 2.3% YoY In April

May 11, 2023 (MLN): The U.S. producer price index (PPI) for the month of April 2023 clocked in at 2.3% YoY, compared to 2.7% YoY in March, the latest data issued by the U.S. Bureau of labor statistics on Thursday showed.

Notably, PPI in the last year, April 2022 stood at 11% YoY.

PPI is a measure of the average change over time in the selling prices received by domestic producers for their output.

Meanwhile, on a sequential basis, U.S. PPI has increased by 0.2% MoM.
