Total Foreign Investment during Oct ’17 declines by 72% against Oct ’16

According to latest SBP data, Total Foreign Investment during October declines by 72%, falling from 1098.9 million dollars in October 2016 to 302.7 million dollars in October, 2017.

However, Foreign Direct Investment during July to October FY ’17 rises by 74 percent.

FDI in the first 4 months of Fiscal year 2017 amounts to $940 million.

Due to political tensions and weakening fundamentals, foreign outflow from Stock Market during July to October has crossed the $100 million mark.

In addition to that, overall Foreign Investment in the country plunged by 49 percent. Foreign Investment during July to October period totaled at $837 million.
