Tesla delivers record-breaking 466K vehicles in Q2, beats estimates

July 03, 2023 (MLN): The U.S. electric carmaker Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA) delivered 466,140 vehicles in the second quarter of 2023, depicting a surge of 83% YoY and 10% QoQ, the company's latest report revealed on Sunday.

This was higher than analysts’ expectations of 448,351 vehicles.

Meanwhile, TSLA produced 479,700 vehicles in the second quarter, up from 258,580 a year earlier, 13,560 more vehicles than it delivered in the second quarter, although the gap has narrowed from 17,933 in the first quarter.

Model X deliveries were 19,225 vehicles, beating analysts’ estimates of 14,606 vehicles.

Similarly, Model Y deliveries were 446,915 vehicles (96% of the total), beating analysts’ estimates of 437,386 vehicles.

TSLA stock closed last week at $261.77, up 28.36% on the month, and a significant 120.96% year-to-date, in the pre-market, it is currently at $277.76, depicting a jump of 6.11%.
