Supreme Court to hear GIDC case on Sept 19th

September 11, 2019 (MLN): The Supreme Court of Pakistan will hear the case on Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) on September 19, 2019.

The federal government on Friday approached the Supreme Court for urgent hearing over the Gas Infrastructure Development Cess (GIDC) so that the matter could be decided according to law and Constitution.

The Attorney General submitted the application for urgent hearing and stated that cases regarding GIDC were pending since 2017 and due to these cases huge revenue of the government was struck. However, the latest application was accepted today.
