SNGPL okays to lay pipeline from newly discovered gas fields to transmission grid

June 17, 2022 (MLN): Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) has approved to lay 295 KMs of pipeline from the newly discovered gas fields in the vicinity of North Waziristan and Lakki Marwat area, to the SNGPL transmission network injection point, company’s filing on bourse showed today.

In a notice, the company said that the operators of the newly discovered gas fields have approached SNGPL for laying of infrastructure/pipeline for injection of this gas into the Company’s transmission system/grid.

The estimated cost of the project is Rs23.4 billion while the project is expected to be completed within FY 2022-23.

The initial estimated quantity of gas expected through these fields is around 50MMCFD to 70 MMCFD which will help to bridge the gas supply and demand gap in the Country.
