SEPL disputes SECP’s assertion on SOE Act applicability

February 13, 2024 (MLN): Security Papers Limited (PSX: SEPL) has deemed the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP)'s statement regarding the applicability of the State-Owned Enterprises Act, 2023 to SPL as erroneous.

This is in addition to the company filing an appeal before the Appellate Bench of SECP regarding the commission's determination of SPL as a Public Sector Company.

The chairman has asked the members to seek legal advice on the matter and therefore, the 8th EOGM is hereby adjourned with the consent of the members under Article 44 of the Articles of Association of the Company, until a further date that would be communicated to the shareholders, accordingly.
