September 23, 2019 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has granted approval to JS Investments Limited, a premier Asset Management Company in Pakistan, to launch JS ALPHA Fund; a venture capital fund designed to invest in technologically oriented start-up and SME enterprises in Pakistan.

This move emerged as a result of SECP’s quest to develop and promote venture capital industry in Pakistan. To further solidify the status of venture capital market, SECP has launched PE & VC rules and regulations, which have paved the way for a fast track development of Venture Capital industry in Pakistan, putting entrepreneurship and business growth on the forefront.
