SBP to remain close on July 28,29 on Account of Ashura

July 24, 2023 (MLN): The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) will remain closed from July 28 to July 29, 2023, on the occasion of Ashura, the circular issued by the central bank informed today.

“The State Bank of Pakistan will remain closed from July 28 to July 29, 2023 (Friday to Saturday) being public holidays on the occasion of Ashura (9th & 10th Moharram 1445 A.H),” the circular reads.

Ashura is a day of commemoration in Islam that occurs annually on the 10th of Muharram.
