SBP reserves rise $69.5m to $11.52bn

May 29, 2025 (MLN): The foreign exchange reserves held by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) increased by $69.5 million or 0.61% WoW to $11.52 billion during the week ended on May 23, 2025, data released by State Bank of Pakistan showed on Thursday.

On the other hand, the country's total reserves decreased by $11.8m or 0.07% WoW to $16.64bn.

The reserves held by commercial banks fell by $81.3m or 1.56% WoW to $5.12bn.

In the current fiscal year, SBP-held reserves have increased by $2.13bn or 22.65%.

Meanwhile, the current calendar year has seen a decrease of $194.5m or -1.66%.
