Sazgar Engineering sells 579 units of three-wheeler in Dec

January 12, 2022 (MLN): Sazgar Engineering Works Limited (SAZEW) sold 579 units of Auto Rickshaw during the month of December 2021, which was around 33% lower than the sales of 865 units made in the previous month.

In an announcement regarding the sales and production data of three-wheelers for the month of Dec’21, the company informed that the production for the month totalled 1,498 units, i.e., almost 7% greater than the units produced during the previous month.

In addition, the company sold 10 units of four wheelers-off road and passenger vehicles against the production of 12 units during the month, the sale was 2.5x higher than the previous month while production increased by 3x MoM.

Sazgar is a premier manufacturer of CNG 4 Stroke Auto Rickshaw (3 Wheelers) and Automotive Wheel Rims. With manufacturing facilities based in Pakistan and a Global Dealer Network, Sazgar is leading the market in Pakistan and also exporting to international markets.

Last year, the company had been awarded “Category -A, Greenfield Investment status” by the Ministry of Industries & Production of Pakistan.

In addition, the ministry approved Great Wall Motors Company Limited as the second principle for the assembly/ manufacture of GWM “HAVAL” vehicles in addition to “BAIC” vehicles.

To recall, in March’21, SAZEW signed Vehicle Assembly Technical and Cooperation Agreement with a renowned Chinese Automobile Manufacturer, for the manufacture/Assembly, sales, and after-sales service of passenger and commercial vehicles.

This was in addition to the agreement signed between SAZGAR and Chinese Automobile Manufacturer in 2018, as per which the manufacturers and assembler of Sazgar Auto rickshaws among other auto parts will manufacture these vehicles under the brand name of “BAIC”.

In May’21, Sazgar Engineering commenced selling of Completely Built-Up (CBU) vehicles under the brand name HAVAL.
