SECP briefs ABAD members on company registration, corporate reforms

September 23, 2026 (MLN): The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) briefed members of the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) on company registration and corporate reforms.

SECP Commissioner Muzaffar Ahmed Mirza briefed ABAD officials on corporate reforms, while the SECP also conducted a practical demonstration of the eZfile portal for company registration.

ABAD members will consider converting their businesses into companies and also explore registration of Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).

The SECP said company registration can help businesses in obtaining financing. ABAD will also provide recommendations to the SECP regarding the real estate sector.
