Sale of DAP declines by 15.3% in Oct’20

November 25, 2020 (MLN): The total DAP offtake during the month of October 2020 was nearly 229 thousand tonnes, showing a decline of 15.3 percent over October 2019.

According to a monthly report by National Fertilizer Development Center (NFDC), the total availability of DAP during Rabi 2020-21 would be around 1164 thousand tonnes, which comprises 443 thousand tonnes of imported supply, 423 thousand tonnes of domestic production, and 297 thousand tonnes of opening stock. The offtake of DAP is estimated at around 968 thousand tonnes. The situation regarding DAP looks satisfactory as other phosphate fertilizers like NP and SSP will also be available in the market to cope with phosphate demand.

Province-wise, Offtake of DAP decreased by 23, 27 and 28 percent in Punjab, KP and Balochistan respectively while it increased by 22 percent in Sindh.
