Rs22b of verified sales tax refunds for all years to be released: Hafeez Shaikh

September 3, 2019: Advisor to Prime Minister on Finance and Economic Affairs, Dr. Abdul Hafeez Shaikh has said that government has taken important decision on Tax Refunds for the promotion of economic activity and provide liquidity support to the businesses.

In a tweet, he said twenty two billion rupees of verified sales tax refunds for all years will be released immediately.

He said 1.7 billion rupees of income tax refunds for all years will also be released immediately.

Abdul Hafeez Shaikh said the verification process for other outstanding refunds will also be expedited and income tax refunds between one lac to five lac rupees for all years will be paid next month.
