RPPL ends power purchase agreement with CPPA

January 20, 2025 (MLN): Rousch (Pakistan) Power Limited (RPPL) has officially terminated its Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with the Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited (CPPA).

RPPL is a subsidiary of Altern Energy Limited (PSX: ALTN), the notification issued to the local bourse.

Additionally, RPPL has ended its Implementation Agreement (IA) with the government of Pakistan and the related Guarantee issued by the government of Pakistan, by the terms of its Negotiated Settlement Agreement (NSA).

Under the terms of the Negotiated Settlement Agreement (NSA), RPPL has received all agreed payments from the CPPA.

Subsequently, RPPL handed over the power complex to the National Power Parks Management Company Limited, a designated entity of the Government of Pakistan, on December 31, 2024.
