PTA temporarily suspends all social media sites

April 16, 2021 (MLN): The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has temporarily blocked the social media sites all across the country.

Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter, YouTube, Telegram and TikTok- the major social media applications will be temporarily blocked from 11am till 3:00pm as per directives issued by Ministry of Interior to PTA.

The immediate action was to be requested by Ministry of Interior while the reason behind this suspension is still unknown.
