PSX to remain closed on July 16, 17 on account of Ashura

July 10, 2024 (MLN): The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) will remain closed on Tuesday, July 16 and Wednesday, July 17, 2024, on account of Ashura, 9th and 10th, Muharram, 1446 A.H, the notice issued by the local bourse on Wednesday said.
"All TRE Certificate Holders, Staff and concerned are hereby informed that Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited will remain closed on Tuesday, July 16 & Wednesday, July 17 2024 on account of Ashura, 9th and 10th Muharram, 1446 A.H.," the notice reads.
Ashura is a day of commemoration in Islam. It occurs annually on the 10th of Muharram, the first month of the Islamic calendar.
