May 29, 2025 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index concluded Thursday's trading session at 118,971.40, showing an increase of 638.50 points or 0.54%.

The index remained positive throughout the day showing an intraday high of 119,639.47 (+1,306.57) and a low of 118,481.97 (+149.07) points.

The total volume of the KSE-100 Index was 315.84 million shares.

Of the 100 index companies 65 closed up, 33 closed down, 1 were unchanged, while 1 remained untraded.

Top gainers during the day were KTML (+8.88%), POML (+8.58%), PTC (+8.03%), INIL (+6.83%), and ISL (+4.27%).

On the other hand, top losers were KEL (-6.28%), PSEL (-2.28%), JVDC (-1.97%), RMPL (-1.71%), and EFUG (-1.66%).

In terms of index-point contributions, companies that propped up the index were LUCK (+134.47pts), UBL (+87.78pts), FFC (+67.10pts), ENGROH (+66.68pts), and MARI (+57.73pts).

Meanwhile, companies that dragged the index lower were KEL (-34.17pts), PSEL (-18.39pts), MCB (-14.98pts), SRVI (-12.03pts), and AKBL (-11.19pts).

Sector-wise, KSE-100 Index was supported by Cement (+234.06pts), Commercial Banks (+89.50pts), Oil & Gas Exploration Companies (+70.98pts), Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. (+70.86pts), and Fertilizer (+63.46pts).

While the index was let down by Power Generation & Distribution (-36.91pts), Miscellaneous (-16.16pts), Leather & Tanneries (-12.03pts), Property (-6.62pts), and Automobile Assembler (-5.51pts).

In the broader market, the All-Share Index closed at 74,363.96 with a net gain of 406.27 points or 0.55%.

Total market volume was 741.65 million shares compared to 690.39m from the previous session while traded value was recorded at Rs23.91 billion showing an increase of Rs0.08bn.

There were 294,101 trades reported in 466 companies with 268 closing up, 159 closing down, and 39 remaining unchanged.
