Of the 100 index companies 20 closed up, 69 closed down, 3 were unchanged while 8 remained untraded.
KSE100 Index was let down by Oil & Gas Exploration Companies with 123.52, Fertilizer with 81.7, Power Generation & Distribution with 41.31, Commercial Banks with 40.27 and Cement with 28.54 points.
Companies dragging the index lower were OGDC with 54.82, FFC with 41.36, POL with 35.79, ENGRO with 30.7 and HUBC with 29.58 points.
KSE100 index was supported by Automobile Parts & Accessories with 10.96, Technology & Communication with 8.06, Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 4.64, Textile Spinning with 1.6 and Miscellaneous with 1.41 points.
Companies adding points to the index were SYS with 18.51, THALL with 10.96, LUCK with 10.85, DAWH with 10.24 and MCB with 6.01 points.
In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 31,909.66 with a net loss of 315.27 points.
Total market volume was 194.577 million shares compared to 251.692 from the previous session while traded value being recorded at 7.67 billion showing a decrease of Rs.1.37 billion.
