June 13, 2023 MLN: The benchmark KSE-100 index on Tuesday lost 244.2 points to close the trading session at 41,538.72, marking an intraday high of 42,025.53 and a low of 41,522.63.

The trading floor opened on a positive note as buying activity was observed in earlier trading hours. However, the sentiment turned negative and stayed that way for most of the day.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 61.679 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 29 closed up, 59 closed down, 4 were unchanged while 8 remained untraded.

KSE100 Index was let down by Cement with 73.43, Technology & Communication with 53.89, Fertilizer with 42.4, Chemical with 34.54 and Food & Personal Care Products with 24.69 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were LUCK with 45.97, SYS with 43.58, COLG with 30.91, ENGRO with 24.55 and GHGL with 19.77 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Miscellaneous with 19.19, Commercial Banks with 9.85, Automobile Assembler with 9.58, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 7.59 and Tobacco with 3.52 points.

Companies adding points to the index were PSEL with 18.21, MTL with 13.47, MEBL with 13.29, HBL with 8.22 and SHEL with 5.59 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 28,124.35 with a net loss of 209.71 points.

Total market volume was 144.168 million shares with traded value being recorded at 4.11 billion.

There was 79,592 trades reported in 323 companies with 90 closing up, 205 closing down and 28 remaining unchanged.
