June 22, 2023 (MLN): The benchmark KSE-100 Index closed Thursday's trading session at 40,152.05, showing a decrease of 68.74 points.

The index traded in a range of 287.21 points showing an intraday high of 40,378.59 and a low of 40,091.38.

Total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 65.605 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 34 closed up, 55 closed down, 7 were unchanged while 4 remained untraded.

KSE100 Index was let down by Chemical with 51.16, Fertilizer with 30.46, Commercial Banks with 15.93, Oil & Gas Marketing Companies with 13.2 and Inv. Banks / Inv. Cos. / Securities Cos. with 7.97 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were COLG with 33.62, ENGRO with 20.77, LOTCHEM with 16.46, TRG with 15.42 and NESTLE with 12.88 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Automobile Assembler with 31.14, Power Generation & Distribution with 29.97, Tobacco with 10.16, Property with 5.77 and Pharmaceuticals with 4.58 points.

Companies adding points to the index were MTL with 34.28, HUBC with 17.74, SYS with 15.19, UPFL with 12.46 and PAKT with 10.16 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 27,233.31 with a net loss of 50.54 points.

Total market volume was 116.479 million shares with traded value being recorded at 2.56 billion.

There was 55,208 trades reported in 307 companies with 106 closing up, 167 closing down and 34 remaining unchanged.
