June 14, 2023 (MLN): The capital market on Wednesday remained volatile as the investors remained active on both sides of the index which led the benchmark KSE-100 Index to close at 41,514.44 showing a decrease of only 24.28 points.

The index traded in a range of 295.82 points showing an intraday high of 41,744.43 and a low of 41,448.61.

The total Volume of the KSE100 Index was 40.597 million shares.

Of the companies in KSE100 37 closed up, 50 closed down, 4 were unchanged while 9 remained untraded.

KSE100 Index was let down by Technology & Communication with 27.04, Power Generation & Distribution with 20.43, Food & Personal Care Products with 18.01, Fertilizer with 16.32 and Tobacco with 14.06 points.

Companies dragging the index lower were NESTLE with 21.63, HUBC with 19.65, SYS with 18.84, PAKT with 14.06 and EFERT with 13.99 points.

KSE100 index was supported by Chemical with 42.57, Automobile Assembler with 27.17, Commercial Banks with 15.19, Cement with 5.97 and Textile Composite with 4.51 points.

Companies adding points to the index were COLG with 49.76, MEBL with 18.7, MTL with 18.48, HBL with 17.49 and ENGRO with 13.25 points.

In the broader market, the All-Share index closed at 28,093.72 with a net loss of 30.63 points.

The total market volume was 179.643 million shares with traded value being recorded at 3.76 billion.

There were 80,575 trades reported in 317 companies with 129 closing up, 161 closing down and 27 remaining unchanged.
